Excellent infrastructure for cyclists
Many Berliners use the bicycle in their free time, because the city offers a very good infrastructure for cyclists. The city of Berlin uses numerous initiatives to make the city interesting for cyclists. Many of these measures, such as an extensive cycling network, have already been implemented. Furthermore, numerous measures are intended to ensure the safety of cyclists. These include cycling locks, flashing lights at busy intersections that indicate cyclists or better marking of cycle lanes.
Discover hidden corners
You know the Brandenburg Gate? It is one of the most popular destinations when visiting Berlin, but many tourists overlook the extensive parks in the area. In the immediate vicinity there is an extensive park landscape, including the picturesque English Garden. The zoo is also easy to reach by bike and is a popular hotspot for leisure activities.
Along the Berlin Wall
Berlin is full of sights that can be easily reached by bike or even much easier to get to. First and foremost among these are the remains of the Berlin Wall. There is a special Wall cycle path that runs for almost six kilometers along this monument and various historical hotspots.
The path leads from the East Side Gallery to Bernauer Strasse. You will cross Potsdamer Platz and can visit historical hotspots like Checkpoint Charlie. If you are near the Checkpoint, you are only a few minutes away from the German Currywurst Museum, which you should definitely visit.

How attractive Berlin is for cyclists is also shown by the numerous offers around cycling. In the city there is the possibility to book guided bike tours. These not only take the guests to the most interesting points of the city, the guides can also give you additional information about monuments and sights. Well over 60 different guided tours are offered in Berlin. Among them are not only routes within Berlin, some also lead the cyclists out of the city.
